ZBGC receives a GLOBE Community Grant
Zoe Belle Gender Centre has received a Community Grant from the Gay and Lebian Organisation of Business and Enterprise (GLOBE). Our $700 grant will go towards developing two interactive online resources that will be incorporated into our website. These resources constitute a relatively small project, but one with far-reaching results: the resources will help to improve the health and well-being of transgender people and to educate the wider community about matters of gender diversity.
The issue of transgender health in particular is starting to be recognised for its importance and urgency. Our funding from GLOBE is the first grant we have received and it’s an important step for us in our ongoing work to establish a gender centre for Victoria.
