Hi rose-elliott,

I've never heard of such, and I doubt very much that such exists. Here is the reason, hypnosis deals with the mind and as such is a legal quagmire for any medico. We may see such, hypnosis, in the movies, but in real life, for ordinary people, this just isn't within the terms of reality. It is difficult enough as it is, for a transgender person to deal with a psychiatrist ... and all they do is an assessment. Hypnosis implies far far more, intervention and that is exceedingly unlikely.

I read the question but I understand this to mean a different question ... "how can I be sure?" Hypnosis will not answer this question. It is natural to have doubt and question things, and this is particularly true the younger we are. For we have not attained the breadth of experience that life teaches.

I think the answer to the question of "how can I be sure" and "who am I", is found in the heart. What this means, is within. Not like a calculator where answers are immediate ... but more a discovery. It is, as is life, a journey.

This may sound like a nebulous answer, and it is, for the question is analogous to "how long is a piece of string" ... there is no one answer.

To look into our own heart, we can look to our nature ... we know whether we like chocolate, strawberry, vanilla ice-cream, what music we like ... in the same way we know who we are. This self revelation does not follow the clock but follows life, as we live it from day to day.

Hypnosis, or any intent to artificially create a reality will only do the opposite. The only way to learn about who we are, is with time. Time, patience and self acceptance.

Each person is wholly unique and though we may accept the term transgender, for each person, this means something unique. As such, having another person seek to make a judgement about us, or more such as intervene, will do nothing for us. No one other than God knows us ... no one.

This is a long answer and maybe not one sought, such as contact so and so ... but it is the right answer. It is the answer that will serve you best.

The answers you seek are within you. One can search the world only find one day, the truth of this.

We are what we are ... and self acceptance, self forgiveness, self caring, self love ... all these are from within and from within, we bring out to those around us.

I hope this makes sense.

In my experience various self-hypnosis methods have been very helpful throughout my transition, both in living happily from moment to moment, and in creating the body and life I now have.

While hormones do their work in my body, the thoughts and feelings I choose to run (as in a program) also affect my body, my demeanour, and my overall health.

Mind and body are interconnected, and the effects of our subconscious programming....we are *always* doing it, for good or ill!...are usually greatly underestimated, at least in our Western culture.

Imitation/impressions/'doing voices' (some shamans call this 'Grokking') can be very useful for developing a feminine voice, for example. I have had good success with this.

I have used learnt ideas from NLP (neuro-linguistic programming), creative visualizations, shamanic work, and affirmations (inspired by Louise Hay) to help align and focus my own thoughts, and to reinforce desirable feelings.

Some of my personal recommendations for learning are: http://www.healyourlife.com/  http://www.changethatsrightnow.com/   http://www.huna.org/

If you can find/afford one, a skilled hypnotherapist (or an urban shaman) who understands what you want to achieve and why can help you do all this. Many (but not all) life-coaches are familiar with these ideas and methods too.

thanks for the kind compliement. The mind controls our physical actrions too, think about lemons and we start having more saliva, or if we see a rabied wolf we produce adrenaline. Actions such as walking, talking, expressions, gestures, eye movements are very automatic and controlled by our subconscious mind, which we can control using hypnosis. I must add that certain goals such as breast growth would take quite a long time (years) but hormones can be altered using hypnosis including boosting testosterone for bodybuilders or raising the levels of estrogen.

all the best http://www.paul-clinton.net

You want to be a woman. That is the question. What you desire determines how effective hypnosis is. You must trust and you will feel it
